Where's The Pumpkins???

I know! Opening shop at the end of September and no seasonal items!? Outrageous!

Honestly, there is nothing I would love more than to be prepping lots of cosy, autumnal goodies for you, and I really want to get stuck into making some spooky Halloween stuff because it's one of my favourite times of the year. But it's going to all have to wait until next year. The same for Christmas and winter themes, too.

And this is for one reason:

I just do not have the time or the energy for it. I chose to open at an awkward time, my part-time job not being so part-time at the minute because of low staff, and the decision was last minute enough that I didn't leave myself enough time to properly prepare a whole new collection. Because, if I'm going to do seasonal stock, you can be sure that I'm going to do it properly.

I do already have some bookmark designs from last year that I did for autumn and Halloween that I will be bringing back... but next year when I can give them a full collection to be a part of.

I don't know when I decided that I was going to be doing things in collections. I'm not even sure it was a fully conscious choice, to be quite honest. It just felt like the right thing to do. It made the most sense with how I've been making art.

So, yeah. Sorry for not seasonal stuff this year but I'm going to make the effort to be much better about it next year.

Although, actually, over on my Ko-Fi, I do have an autumnal phone wallpaper that you can download for free if that takes your fancy. I was hoping to have a Halloween one up but I just haven't had much time or energy to sit down and do it.
